Everyone deserves another chance. We all make mistakes. Now, the question is, do we all learn from our mistakes? I am looking for a commitment from each of them. Take what you learned from your respective experiences and make a positive impact to your respective circles of influence and community at large.
However, right now, the jury is still out on Plax, Vick, T.O. and Harrison. Until we see how they handle their "next" opportunity, we cannot say anything for or against any of them. All we can say now is they are all gifted athletes with playing life left in them. I pray that each of them has finally had their "ah ha" moment and realized that this thing called life is serious and they either need to step it up or step aside to make room for someone who would truly value the blessing of playing pro sports, making a lot of money and having influence. But, I must admit, I am excited to see who finally gets it and does amazing things with their "next" opportunity.
Who needs 'em? Plax, Vick, T.O. & Harrison offer more questions than answers by Gary Myers

03-17-2009What did TO do in Dallas that was so bad? Besides his previous reputation as "Team Obliterator" (as some call him), I believe he has learned and acted a lot better to his team mates and coaches. He is certainly not an angel but in Dallas team mates said that he was a great influence to them in the locker room and on the field. He even helped some players get better. It wasn't all his fault in Dallas but Jones needs results and banished him just because of his prior reputation. I believe he has already answered your question and Buffalo will only reap the rewards even more. TO still has a lot of great football left in him.

03-17-2009I believe everyone deserves a second chance if they earn that right. Zak, I hear your points about TO; however, I believe that the controversy with TO got too loud in Dallas last season and it boiled over in their blowout loss against my beloved Ravens. It might be a great blessing in disguise for TO to go to a more low-key spot like Buffalo, but it could also be a disaster if he continues down the path of antagonizing his teammates or the coaching staff. In a recent radio interview, TO was asked what he thought when Rosenhaus told him about the Buffalo opportunity, and there were several moments of silence followed by a not-so-enthusiastic response. I think TO is a great athlete and a one-of-a-kind receiver, who despite having an off-year this past season, could re-emerge as one of the league's best receivers if he wants to next season. The choice is his, nobody else's. I would really like to see him make a statement next season and keep all the antics home. As far as the other players are concerned...I believe Vick will get an opportunity if he plays his cards right with Goodell. Harrison was implicated in a shooting, but never convicted of anything. I believe he still could produce if he connects with another great passer. Plaxico Burress has a world of talent, but that situation has to cool down a little still. Not sure if there is much Rosenhaus can do to help him at the moment.
